For those unfamiliar with the Catholic Church, the church's beauty is inherent in the sacraments one receives as one moves through the faith, as well as in the richness of the diverse services provided by the different offices within the church.
All Saints understands that a learning curve may exist for some and that even the most ardent, frequent parishioners might be unaware of all that is available to them through All Saints. Thus, this section of the site is here to acquaint everyone with the Catholic faith of our beautiful and rich apostolic traditions and to guide how the church may serve your spiritual and sacramental needs.
Sacraments are outward signs of inward grace instituted by Christ for our sanctification.The seven sacraments can be drawn together into three categories:
- Sacraments of Initiation - Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist
- Sacraments of Healing - Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick
- Sacraments of Vocation - Marriage and Holy Orders
To paraphrase the writing of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the sacraments (except Holy Orders) have the potential to touch all stages of life. Indeed, when one considers the sacraments from a complete life cycle, they cover life "from the womb to the tomb." As such, while you grow in life, you will note that your sacramental journey resembles the stages of natural and spiritual life.
